About A-IMBN Research
A-IMBN Research is a website intended to highlight in a timely fashion some of the best research being published by members and member institutions of the Asia-Pacific International Molecular Biology Network (A-IMBN). The website is jointly produced by A-IMBN and NPG Nature Asia-Pacific, the Asia-Pacific wing of Nature Publishing Group (NPG), publisher of Nature, the international science weekly.
A-IMBN, set up in 1997, is comprised of nearly 300 select members and 18 member institutions spanning the Asia-Pacific region. The network aims to promote the development of research in molecular biology and biotechnology in the region and beyond through greater networking and interaction of scientists in the Asia-Pacific for the benefit of mankind (www.aimbn.org).
A-IMBN Research provides short easy-to-understand summaries of interesting research articles published recently in leading journals, and in some cases lesser known publications, by scientists belonging to A-IMBN and/or to A-IMBN member institutions. They are written and edited by a team of professional NPG-selected science writers and editors.
Through this website, hosted on NPG’s powerful Asia-Pacific website, www.natureasia.com, A-IMBN Research brings to the world’s attention some of the best research in molecular biology and biotechnology emerging from the Asia-Pacific. If you know of important research carried out recently by an A-IMBN institution(s) and/or A-IMBN members, please do alert the editorial board and/or one of the advisory board members of A-IMBN Research and they will consider your recommendation for highlighting on the website.
We do hope you enjoy reading the research highlights on A-IMBN Research. Please feel free to sign up for the table of contents alert and please tell others about the website.
