Nature Publishing Group to partner with the Japan Antibiotics Research Association

Nature Publishing Group (NPG) and the Japan Antibiotics Research Association (JARA) today announce their intention to form a publishing partnership for the Journal of Antibiotics. As part of this agreement the journal will undergo a redesign including a new-look cover, website and articles.

Tokyo-based NPG Publishing Director David Swinbanks said, "The Journal of Antibiotics represents an exciting addition to the program of partnerships between NPG Nature Asia-Pacific and key scientific and clinical organizations across the Asia-Pacific region. Alongside the upcoming launch of Nature Chemistry, this partnership marks another step in NPG’s continuing commitment to publish high-quality chemistry."

The Journal of Antibiotics is an international journal devoted to research on bioactive microbial products, founded in 1947. This new partnership with NPG builds on the journal’s existing good reputation, and will extend its global reach. NPG has a proud history of publishing ground-breaking microbial and pharmacological research in its flagship journal Nature, as well as in a number of highly respected journals such as Nature Biotechnology, Nature Chemical Biology, Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, Nature Reviews Microbiology and Nature Medicine.

This partnership is the latest in a series of partnerships that NPG Nature Asia-Pacific is undertaking with scientific and clinical societies in this region (see link below for more information).

The Journal of Antibiotics will be able to take advantage of NPG’s strengths: editorial expertise, pioneering technologies, innovative formats and world-class production to provide premium information for scientific researchers in the public and private sectors, government agencies and educators.
