Nature Publishing Group to co-publish with the Japanese Society of Hypertension
Nature Publishing Group (NPG) and the Japan Society of Hypertension (JSH) today announce their intention to form a publishing partnership for the journal Hypertension Research. As part of this agreement the journal will undergo a redesign including a new-look cover, website and articles.
Tokyo-based NPG Publishing Director David Swinbanks said, "We are delighted to be taking this journal forward with the Japan Society of Hypertension. This is another exciting addition to the program of partnerships between NPG Nature Asia-Pacific and key scientific and clinical organizations across the Asia-Pacific region."
"This new partnership with Nature Publishing Group, one of the world’s premier scientific publishers, represents a new era for the journal,” the President of the JSH Dr Hiroaki Matsuoka said in Mibu, Tochigi, “and we look forward to improving the communication links between Japanese and international researchers.”
Since the Japanese Society of Hypertension was founded in 1978 it has promoted the advancement of clinical and experimental hypertension research. This partnership fits well with NPG’s expertise. Important papers related to hypertension research are regularly published in its flagship journal Nature, as well as in a number of highly respected journals such as Nature Clinical Practice Cardiovascular Medicine, Nature Medicine, American Journal of Hypertension and Journal of Human Hypertension.
Hypertension Research will be able to take advantage of NPG’s strengths: editorial expertise, pioneering technologies, innovative formats and world-class production to provide premium information for scientific researchers in the public and private sectors, government agencies and educators.
This landmark agreement, alongside other prominent new partnerships with major Asia-Pacific clinical organizations, marks a further step in NPG’s aim to publish the best clinical research in the region.
