Springer Nature and the University of Tokyo will be co-hosting SDGs Symposium 2023 with focus on “cities and nature” on February 28th.

Springer Nature and the University of Tokyo will be hosting 「SDGs symposium 2023 - Cities and nature: exploring linkages and designing solutions for sustainability」to explore intersections between cities and nature, both in terms of how cities and urban activities affect nature, as well as how nature can help solve urban challenges. We will be joined by renowned researchers from Japan and abroad, as well as students and young researchers, working at this interface of cities, nature, and sustainability. The panel will discuss how research can explain these multifaceted phenomena and develop solutions with high societal relevance and impact. This event marks the fourth SDGs symposium organized in partnership between Springer Nature and the University of Tokyo. As part of this symposium, we invite individual students or student groups to submit posters. Registration for this event is free and anyone interested in the intersection between cities and nature and urban sustainability is welcome to join.
